The Child Alberta, a book compiling texts and images “produced, found, considered, and argued” during the six week thematic residency A PAPER, A DRAWING, A MOUNTAIN at The Banff Centre is published!

Contributions from participating artists-in-residence, faculty Silke Otto-Knapp and Jan Verwoert and visitors Mark Leckey and Karl Holmqvist are included alongside theoretical texts focused on mimesis by Theodor Adorno, Walter Benjamin, Giorgio Agamben, Roger Caillois, and Michael Taussig. The book is published by Walter Phillips Gallery, The Banff Centre and as Setup, Issue 3.5, an art journal based in Vancouver. This beautiful publication was brought together with care by Guest Art Director David Giordano and Setup Art Director Claire Balderston.
